Porkchop, who was adopted from DHA in March 2010, is a finalist in the Shelter Fan Photo Contest! This shy guy has come out of his shell in his new home and now he’s really rolling in clover! Please vote for him every day through October 18th. If he wins the Grand Prize, DHA will receive a $2,000 grant from The Animal Rescue Site

DHA Alum Wins 2nd Prize in News Journal Pets Photo Contest!

Just wanted to send along my thanks again to Delaware Humane Association for all the good work you do and for helping us find our dog, Shadrach (formerly Zeke). We adopted him last July and we couldn’t love him any more.?? Thought you’d like to see, he won 2nd prize in The News Journal’s Pets Photo Contest this year!

Second place goes to Danielle Quigley of Wilmington for a photo she took of Shadrach, a Great Dane/Shepherd mix adopted from the Delaware Humane Association, resting on the feet of her husband Alex Karlsen, while visiting Cape Henlopen State Park in September. “It was the first time at the beach and he was really starting to get comfortable with us as his new family,” Quigley says. She wins a $250 Concord Pet gift certificate.
